Inland American Real Estate Trust has announced that it will be changing its name to InvenTrust Properties Corp. effective April 16, 2015. The rebranding comes on the heels of moving to self-management in 2014 and the spin-off of the lodging portion of the portfolio earlier this year. InvenTrust Properties is left with 108 multitenant retail properties, 14 student-housing properties with 5 more under development and over 6 million square feet of non-core office and industrial buildings.
Inland American continues to trade on Central Trade & Transfer’s platform after pausing for a few weeks during the Xenia spin-off. It is anticipated that the transition from Inland American Real Estate Trust to InvenTrust Properties will be seamless.
