Why Use CTT?
At CTT, we believe that buyers and sellers of Non-Traded REIT shares may mutually benefit in conducting their transactions through CTT’s automated auction website. Because Non-Traded REIT shares are not bought and sold through a national exchange, it has historically been difficult for sellers to present their Non-Traded REIT shares to a substantial number of potential buyers. CTT’s auctions are accessible to many different buyers, sellers, and their representatives, that enables sellers to present their shares to a number of different buyers, and also affords buyers the opportunity to purchase Non-Traded REIT shares which they may not have known were available.
While CTT does not generate any reports with respect to a particular Non-Traded REIT, auction participants are able to link to EDGAR, which is the information repository used by U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (the “SEC”) to collect, validate, and index reports that publicly registered companies, such as Non-Traded REITs, are required to file with the SEC. Access to this information, coupled with CTT’s auction history, may assist sellers, buyers, and their representatives in making a determination as to the price at which they wish to proceed with a particular transaction.
